Constitution

The Innerwick Parish Welfare Association has operated previously as an OSCR-registered charity (SC020842) until we were granted SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) status (SC052244) on 11 January 2023. You can find our updated OSCR entry here.

We are currently in the process of finalising the transfer of assets/business functions from our non-SCIO to our new SCIO. Operationally, IPWA now operates as a registered SCIO. This has required a significant piece of work by some of our Trustees, and we hope to conclude this process on Wednesday 20th. September, 19:30, in the Village Hall. We hope that this new status will encourage others to join the work of IPWA, including as Trustees and/or committee members.

Please come to the Hall on 20th September @ 19:30 for the last meeting of the ‘old’ IPWA & the first meeting of IPWA SCIO!

The meetings will be short, & cover:

  • Old IPWA will give the Hall, grounds, field, money & inventory to IPWA SCIO.
  • Wind up the old IPWA
  • IPWA SCIO say thanks for the transfer
  • A new committee is appointed. Then we are done!

This should leave time for an informal discussion & refreshments.

Who can come to the meeting/be a member? Anyone over 16 who lives in Innerwick parish (Crowhill, Skateraw, Thurston, Hunter Steading, the Pinkertons, & the Brunt).

You can read our SCIO constitution here.
